Spotlight On: Wildfox Couture

As we’re on the heels of the end of Coachella, most of us have been browsing the pictures of celebrities partying at the music festival and falling in love with their outfits.

If you love the Coachella-inspired style, we suggest you check out Wildfox Couture, because aside from not only being the clothing choice for a number of celebrities, you can also see most of their items making a statement on the festival lawn.

Here’s some background on the brand:

Wildfox is a vintage-inspired women’s knitwear brand based in Los Angeles. Originally co-created by two women inspired by a love for vintage tee shirts and their friendship, the brand continues this legacy under the Creative Direction of founding partner Kimberley Gordon.

Together with musician Jimmy Sommers as CEO and President of Wildfox, the brand was officially established in 2007. Known for its iconic campaigns, dreamlike quality, and clothes that tell a story, Wildfox has grown to include a full range of tops, bottoms, dresses, and skirts, while the White Label collection offers a range of luxuriously soft sweater knits, laces, chiffons, velour, and sequins. Wildfox Kids, the “little sister” adaptation of the women’s line, launched in 2009.

Today, Wildfox continues to develop its lifestyle brand with a wide range of Intimates, Swim, Sun, Denim and accessories. The brand can be found in better retail boutiques nationwide including Ron Herman, Planet Blue, Akira, and Shopbop, along with select department stores such as Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. But, the largest selection of Wildfox can be found at Wildfox.com.

Internationally, Wildfox is distributed in over 30 countries worldwide including the U.K., France, Spain, Germany, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Russia, and Taiwan and can be found in such stores as Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Harrods, and TSUM.

Items we’re drooling over right now include:

Tribal Spirit Pocahontas Dress: We love this free-spirited maxi dress featuring a fitted bodice and a flowing skirt. It’s a creamy white color with a multi-colored tribal print along the front center. It has a scoop neck and back and it’s very long, so unlike some maxi dresses it’s not going to stop at your ankles.

Muertes Boy Tee: This tee is ultra-cool with a Day of the Day-inspired skull print on the front and a loose, casual fit. The tee is soft and lightweight with a scoop neck and rolled sleeves. It comes in Vintage Lace Gray and Dirty Black, and you can pair it with your favorite jean shorts for a casual-but-cool summer look.

Purple Floral Hampton Dress: This ultra-feminine dress is made from recycled vintage fabric, which is part of a new collection Wildfox has recently unveiled. The dress is long with a flowing body and a tiered, ruffled hem. It also has a scooped neckline and some ruching details, with a purple floral print.

Native Grunge Maxi Dress: This dress is great for everyday wear or as resortwear. It’s made from a stretchy material and has native-inspired prints in pastel colors. It also has an open back for an extra touch of effortless sexiness.
