All-Natural Ways to Fight Wrinkles

I don’t want to turn to expensive and unnatural treatments like Botox, and I really like to keep things both natural and low-maintenance, so I put together a list of some all-natural wrinkle fighters for other girls who feel like me:

Oils are Your Friend

I’ve always had naturally dry skin, which can be a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing since I don’t have to try and combat excessive oiliness, but a curse in the fact that naturally dry skin tends to be more prone to wrinkles.

Regardless of how oily your skin is naturally, in many cases using oils can be a good, natural and inexpensive way to combat wrinkles and signs of aging.

As long as your skin isn’t too oily, consider using an option like coconut oil or olive oil as a moisturizer. To avoid shininess you can put it on before you head to bed and it gets to work while you’re sleeping. Oils tend to not only be great at fighting signs of aging but they’re also just moisturizing in general and they can help take care of your skin if you’ve been in the sun a lot.

I’m also a fan of BioOil which you can buy in the pharmacy and it can really do wonders for your skin pretty quickly.

Banana Mask

If you’re a mom you probably always have some bananas on-hand, so consider using them as a facial mask as well.

Simply mash a banana and then add a bit of orange juice and plain yogurt. Smooth it on your face for about 20 minutes and you’ll see a fading of dark spots as well as less visible signs of aging, and once you rinse it off your skin will feel smoother and rejuvenated.

Another great mask that’s cheap and natural can be made using egg whites. Combine an egg white with a bit of lemon juice and honey and then smooth it on. You’ll tighten and tone your skin and many people also feel this mask helps to reduce oil, blemishes and the size of pores.

Hydrate

You probably grow tired of hearing the advice that you should drink more water over and over again, but it really can do wonders for your skin. When you’re not getting enough hydration your skin tends to be less plump and show those wrinkles more.

Drinking water plumps your skin back up and can give you a youthful glow.

Supplement with Gelatin

There are lots of supplements that can help your skin, including Omega 3s and other fatty acids, but one you may not have heard of is gelatin. Gelatin is considered to be a natural form of collagen and it’s a simple supplement that’s easy to take on a daily basis that will help add some collagen back to your body and smooth out some of those wrinkles.

Do you have any all-natural wrinkle and aging reducers?
