Queens Metal is a small operation, run by owner and artist Krista DeJoseph out of her little studio in the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans, and with a big dose of assistance from a small-but-mighty team of talented New Orleans folks who help with production, social media and sales.
Some of our favorite pieces from Queens Metal include:
Beaded Silver Ring: This delicate ring features a unique design where it looks like each segment is actually a tiny silver bead. It’s a great stacking ring and we love the idea of stacking it alongside several of the same ring, or mixing it up with a few different ring styles. The ring is also gorgeous by itself thanks to its dainty-yet-original design.
Cube Studs: There’s something so alluringly simple about these stud earrings. They’re just as the name implies—cubes, but we love the clean lines and dimensional design of these truly interesting and chic studs. Thanks to the cube shape they’re great for catching light and becoming a statement piece, despite how unassuming they look at first glance.
Cleopatra Necklace: This is truly one of the boldest statement pieces available on the Queens Metal Etsy shop right now. This handmade necklace is made from an interesting combination of silver and brass and each individual element of the necklace was sawed by hand. Each triangle is able to move independently of the others because of the way it was constructed and the largest triangle making up this necklace measures about two inches so while it’s definitely eye-catching, it doesn’t become overwhelming.
