The End of Piperlime Means There Are Still a Few Amazing Deals Left

I have been a huge fan of Piperlime for years. I loved how they used to have a “Girl on a Budget” shopping area on their website that was fabulous for me at the time, as a struggling college student.

They’ve also had a fantastic mix of both high and low fashion items as well as some great feature fashion articles and editorials, as well as collaborations with big news in the fashion industry.

My love for Piperlime is what led me to be incredibly surprised when their parent company Gap, recently announced they would be closing the site for good. A few months back the men’s area of the site closed, but as popular as Piperlime is, I was surprised to learn they were doing the same for the entire site.

“We are incredibly grateful to our fashion-focused, loyal customers, and proud of our dedicated employees who have been working hard to evolve the brand and test out new ideas,” incoming Gap Inc. CEO Art Peck said in a press release.  “We plan to keep on pushing new ideas and look forward to seeing how we can apply what we’ve learned to the rest of the company as we continue to bring great products and shopping experiences to our customers.”

Piperlime has been an online and in-person shopping destination since 2006 and you can find labels ranging from Piperlime’s own namesake to higher fashion brands like Theory and Marc Jacobs. The diversity of the site was really what drew so many people to it in our opinion, and there was really something not only for every budget but for every style.

While this all may be very sad news for lovers other site, there is a bit of a silver lining, at least for this week—everything is 50 percent off on the site right now, which is an amazing deal. The inventory is fairly limited but if you do a little digging there are definitely some worthwhile purchases still left in the mix.

A few items we love still available right now include:

The Piperlime Collection Beaded Front Tee Shirt: This glam shirt ifs full of shimmering beaded detail and it could be great with a pair of white pants or even jeans for a night out. It features short sleeve and a rounded neckline and we love the mix of casual and dressy this top brings.

Miss Sixty Colors Wind Maxi: It’s surprising this maxi has been fairly overlooked thus far. We love the wild and almost water-color print throughout this dress, as well as the sexy leg slit.

JOA Lace Skirt: This skirt is great for a wear-to-work piece. It’s a pencil skirt with a blue lace overlay and a shorter under skirt. We love the simplicity of the length and silhouette combined with the beautiful sky blue color and all of the sheer and lace details that make it unique.

Happy shopping until Piperlime official closes its virtual doors!
