What’s Trending on Pinterest

As most of us are looking toward the warmer weather of spring that means it’s also time to start planning our wardrobes.

One of the best sources of fashion inspiration is often Pinterest, so we took a look at a few of the trends really making waves on the site right now.

Boho Chic: The bohemian look is one that’s all over Pinterest and everywhere in the fashion world. It’s really a great trend for spring since it’s all about being flowy, romantic and breezy. The boho looks for Spring 2015 can take any number of forms from feminine, lacy blouses and tops to vibrantly printed and ethnically-inspired maxi skirts. Also popular are printed rompers and maxi dresses. Look for options with bold, beautiful colors and intricate patterning. Pair these items with wide-brimmed hats and shoe options like low-heeled boots for a street-ready look. As far as accessorizing boho looks, bracelets and bangles are really where the focus is—the more the better in many cases.

Floral Prints: Beautiful floral prints are making their way into the trends for the upcoming season in a big way. Floral prints can be anywhere from a blouse to a pair of shoes. Kristen Cavillari’s Chinese Laundry shoe collection has some great floral-printed pumps with watercolor inspiration, another key trend for Spring 2015.

The Modest Crop Top: If you love staying on-trend but don’t necessarily love the idea of baring your midriff, you’re in luck as we head into spring. The crop top is still popular, but the silhouettes are a bit boxier and more sophisticated and there’s also a bit of length added to these tops. Choosing a crop top in an elegant fabric like lace is going to make it look less like you’re headed to high school and more like you’re a fashionista.

Flare Leg Jeans: We haven’t fully escaped the skinny jean trend and we may never, but there’s a new kid on the block—or better yet, an old favorite has returned. Look for unique cuts and silhouettes in this season’s jeans including the extreme flare leg. We really love a flare leg jean with a high waist. It’s figure-flattering and is a great throwback to the 70s. Also a high-waisted flare leg jean works so well in conjunction with some of the other Pinterest trends on our list including the modest crop top and the boho chic style.

The Voluminous Skirt: One of our final trends we’ve seen circulating quite a bit on Pinterest in the voluminous skirt. There are two different ways this is being worn right now—the short, skater-style skirt with plenty of flounce and the longer knee-length or midi version of a voluminous skirt. Either way you opt to wear it, we love the idea of pairing these statement-making skirts with simple white tees, tanks or even a crisp white or denim button-up to balance out the shape and femininity of the bottom.
